Bedford Township offers a great public school system…

The Bedford Public Schools recently received the National Award of Excellence from the Coalition for Community Schools. The district was one of only three recognized school systems in the country to receive this honor. All of the Bedford schools are accredited by the North Central Association and must meet stringent standards to remain accredited. Children who live in the Summerlyn community may attend Douglas Road Elementary School*, Bedford Junior High and Bedford High School.
